Emilia Pérez e Shōgun sono i vincitori assoluti dell’82esima edizione dei prestigiosi riconoscimenti dei Golden Globe Awards.
Nella notte tra il 5 e il 6 gennaio 2025 si è tenuta, in diretta sulla CBTS Television Network e in streaming su Paramount+ negli Stati Uniti dal Beverly Hilton, la cerimonia di premiazione dell’a82esima edizione dei prestigiosi Golden Globe Awards.
La serata, condotta dalla comica Nikki Glaser, prima donna solista a condurre lo show, ha segnato la prima importante premiazione televisiva della stagione, e potrebbe aver preparato il terreno per l’incoronazione definitiva dei titoli, cinematografici e televisivi, fin ora favoriti dalla critica nonché di nuovi possibili candidati.
Per il cinema, a confermare il proprio dominio, è il dramma musicale Emilia Pérez, forte delle 10 nomine infatti, batte ogni record trionfando come miglior film-commedia o musical, miglior film in lingua non inglese, miglior attrice per Zoe Saldaña, e miglior canzone originale per “El Mal”.
L’epopea The Brutalist di Brady Corbet segue invece portando a casa tre premi: miglior film drammatico, miglior regista, e miglior attore protagonista per Adrien Brody. A Conclave va la miglior sceneggiatura, mentre Flow – Un mondo da salvare è il miglior film d’animazione.
Kieran Culkin è il miglior attore non protagonista per A Real Pain, e a sorpresa Fernanda Torres è la miglior attrice protagonista in un film drammatico per la sua interpretazione in I’m Still Here. La Torres è la seconda attrice brasiliana a vincere ai Golden Globe, la prima è stata sua madre, Fernanda Montenegro per Central Station nel 1998, la quale successivamente è stata nominata agli Oscar.
Per quanto riguarda la televisione, Shōgun è l’altro grande vincitore vincendo come miglior serie televisiva drammatica, miglior attori protagonisti per Hiroyuki Sanada e Anna Sawai, e miglior attore non protagonista per Tadanobu Asano. Hacks ha trionfato nella categoria miglior serie televisiva musicale o commedia. Colin Farrell ha superato Richard Gadd (Baby Reindeer) per la sua performance in The Penguin, e Jessica Gunning ha vinto come miglior attrice non protagonista per Baby Reindeer.
