“Dolor y gloria”, “While at war” e “The endless trench” dominano le nomination ai Goya
Per la 34esima edizione dei Goya, in programma il 25 gennaio a Malaga, Pedro Almodovar dovrà vedersela con Alejandro Amenabar, autore di “While at war”, e Aitor Aguirre, Jon Garano e Jose Mari Goenaga, registi di “The endless trench”.
Tutte e tre i film infatti hanno dominato le nomination, “Dolor y Gloria” ha ottenuto 16 candidature, “While at war” ben 17 e “The endless trench” di 15.
La vittoria quindi finale è davvero difficile da prevedere, anche se la maggior parte dei critici scommette sul titolo di Almodovar, che è stato acclamato come il miglior film del decennio e ha conquistato la Palma d’Oro alla miglior interpretazione maschile ad Antonio Banderas in occasione dell’ultimo Festival di Cannes. C’è da dire, però, che la Spagna ha sempre avuto qualche difficoltà a premiare in patria i propri registi, riconosciuti invece a livello internazionale.
Altre pellicole importanti sono “A thief’s daughter”, che ha vinto premi al San Sebastian e al Valladolid’s Seminci, e “The Platform”, vincitore di quattro premi al Sitges, festival spagnolo di fondamentale importanza per il mercato dei film di genere. Ad aver emozionato il circuito dei film di animazione, invece, è stato “Bunuel in the labyrinth of the turtles”, firmato da Salvador Simo, che competerà con “Klaus”, prodotto da Sergio Pablos Animation. Tuttavia, mentre “Bunuel in the labyrinth of the turtles” ha avuto una vasta distribuzione e ha vinto diversi premi, “Klaus” è stato distribuito soltanto in pochi cinema, prima che Netflix lo lanciasse sulla sua piattaforma.
Tra gli attori, sono tanti i nomi familiari: Antonio Banderas dovrà vedersela con Antonio de la Torre, Karra Elejalde e Luis Tosar. Per quanto riguarda le attrici, invece, Penelope Cruz se la vedrà con Greta Fernandez, Belen Cuesta e Marta Nieto.
