Il nuovo adattamento diretto da Matthieu Delaporte e Alexandre de la Patelliere del classico romanzo di Alexandre Dumas: Il Conte di Montecristo, come riportato da AwardsWatch, guida le nomine dei prestigiosi premi César 2025, i cui vincitori saranno svelati il 28 febbraio durante la cerimonia, presieduta da Catherine Deneuve, che si terrà all’Olympia Concert Hall di Parigi.
Ad ottenere il maggior numero di menzioni anche il racconto moderno di Romeo e Giulietta diretto da Gilles Lellouche: Beating Hearts, e il dramma musicale di Jacques Audiard Emilia Pérez. Nel corso serata inoltre, come precedentemente annunciato, Julia Roberts riceverà il César Award onorario.
