Annunciati i titoli in lizza per gli Art Directors Guild 2019, la cui cerimonia di premiazione di si terrà il prossimo 1 febbraio 2020.
Per la categoria animazione presente, “Il Re Leone”, mentre “Ford v Ferrari”, “The Irishman”, “Jojo Rabbit”, “Joker”, “1917” e “C’era una volta a…Hollywood” nei Period.
Tra i Fantasy Film, troviamo “Ad Astra”, “Aladdin”, “Avengers: Endgame”, “Dumbo”, “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” e “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker”. Per quanto riguarda invece i Contemporary, “A beautiful day in the neighborhood”, “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum”, “Knives Out”, “Parasite” e “US”.
Negli ultimi cinque anni, il vincitore del Period Film ha poi trionfato agli Oscar nella categoria Production Design, così come il Miglior Film Fantasy ha vinto per ben due volte la prestigiosa statuetta nella medesima sezione. Nel 2017, “La La Land” premiato come Contemporary Film, ha vinto come Production Design agli Oscar.
