Sono state annunciate le nomine della 75esima edizione degli ACE Eddie Awards, menzionati Civil War ed Emilia Pérez.
L’American Cinema Editors (ACE), come riportato da AwardsWatch, ha annunciato le nomination per la 75a edizione degli ACE Eddie Awards, che premiano i migliori montaggi in 14 categorie di film, televisione e documentari, e i cui vincitori saranno annunciati in diretta durante la cerimonia di premiazione che si terrà sabato 18 gennaio 2025 presso la Royce Hall dell’UCLA
Per quanto riguarda i lungometraggi, tra i candidati nella categoria drammatica figurano Civil War, Dune: Part Two ed Emilia Pérez, mentre Anora, Challengers, Wicked e The Substance sono presenti nella commedia.
Tra i candidati per i film d’animazione invece sono in lizza: Flow Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl e The Wild Robot, e tra i documentari troviamo Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story e Will & Harper.
Per la televisione, ad essere menzionati per il drama sono: Fallout, Shōgun e Slow Horses, per la commedia: Curb Your Enthusiasm, Nobody Wants This e Only Murders in the Building. Baby Reindeer, Ripley e The Penguin sono tra le serie limitate.
Come annunciato in precedenza inoltre, l’acclamato regista Jon M. Chu riceverà l’ACE Golden Eddie Filmmaker of the Year Award, che premia un regista che esemplifica risultati eccellenti nell’arte e nel business del cinema, e i montatori Maysie Hoy, ACE e Paul Hirsch, ACE riceveranno i Career Achievement Awards per i loro eccezionali contributi al montaggio cinematografico.
