BAFTA 2021: a guidare le nomination “Nomadland” e “Rocks”

La British Academy of Film and Television Arts ha svelato le nomination dei prestigiosi riconoscimenti dei BAFTA 2021, i cui vincitori saranno annunciati nel corso della cerimonia virtuale in programma il prossimo 11 aprile a Londra.

Candidature che in base alle nuove regole di inclusione e della procedura di voto da parte di una apposita giuria, vede nominate come registe ben 4 donne nonché 15, dei 24 attori, afro – americani e di altre etnie, con Chloè Zhao a dominare con il suo “Nomadland” a pari merito con “Rocks” di Sarah Gavron. I due titoli infatti, hanno ottenuto 7 menzione ciascuno, seguiti da “The Father”, “Mank”, “Minari” e “Una donna promettente” con sei.

Per quanto riguarda gli interpreti presenti Chadwick Boseman per “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom”, Daniel Kaluuya per “Judas and the Black Messiah”, Vanessa Kirby per “Pieces of a Woman”, e Frances McDormand per “Nomadland”.
